I provide responsive, school-aligned English tutoring for students in Years 5–12 from my dedicated home classroom in Chester Hill, with online lessons also available where appropriate.
All lessons are taught personally by me and are available through individual support or carefully matched small focus groups.

Individual Lessons
Individual lessons may be suitable for students who:
- require short-term intensive support
- have learning needs or circumstances that make group lessons unsuitable
- are working towards a particular assessment or goal
- require highly individualised pacing and feedback
Each lesson is planned around the student’s immediate needs and may include explicit instruction, guided practice, real-time feedback and personalised notes or scaffolds.
Places for individual lessons are limited. Priority is given to students whose learning needs make group lessons unsuitable.
Small Focus Groups
Small focus groups are designed for students who:
- attend the same school and are in the same year level
- are working on similar classroom content or assessments
- benefit from structured but collaborative learning
- are developing greater independence and confidence
Students receive targeted teaching and individual feedback within the group, together with personalised tasks where appropriate. The group setting also creates opportunities to discuss ideas, consider different interpretations and learn from the questions of others.
Families will generally form their own group of up to three or four students. Keeping students at a similar stage and working on aligned content allows lessons to remain relevant and focused.
Priority is given to pairs and near-complete groups.
What We Focus On
The content of each lesson responds to the student’s current schoolwork, strengths and areas for development. Common areas of focus include:
- essay structure and extended responses
- analytical writing and textual interpretation
- reading comprehension
- creative, persuasive and discursive writing
- vocabulary, grammar and clarity of expression
- planning, drafting and editing
- preparation for NAPLAN and school-based assessments
- HSC English analysis, essay writing and assessment preparation
Across every lesson format, the aim is to strengthen literacy, independence and confidence—not simply to improve one result.

With over a decade of full-time English teaching and more than 18,000 hours of experience, I provide specialist support grounded in a detailed understanding of school and assessment expectations. Lessons address immediate priorities—including assignments and exam preparation—while building lasting skills in writing, comprehension, analysis and independent thinking.
Do you support students with learning differences or neurodiverse needs?
Yes. I work closely with families to understand each student’s needs and adjust lessons where appropriate.

Do you provide resources or homework?
Yes. Depending on the student’s needs, I may provide annotated examples, model responses, writing scaffolds, revision materials and targeted tasks between lessons.
Do you offer online lessons?
Yes. Online lessons use voice calls, screen sharing and real-time feedback.
Face-to-face lessons generally provide the strongest environment for focus, but online or blended support is available where appropriate.
Where are face-to-face lessons held?
Face-to-face lessons are held in my dedicated home classroom in Chester Hill, NSW. Full location details are provided to enrolled families.

Places are limited, and most new students begin on the waitlist. New places are generally offered in October and January, although enquiries are welcome throughout the year.
Only a small number of places become available each year, so joining the waitlist does not guarantee placement. Priority may be given to compatible pairs or near-complete groups from the same school and year level.
