English tutoring is my long-term profession. I’ve worked with hundreds of students across different learning styles, strengths and challenges—including many from Sefton High and surrounding schools.

Lessons are structured but responsive, adapting to your child’s schoolwork, assessments and individual needs while developing stronger writing, analysis and confidence.

How Lessons Work

Most students learn in a pair or small group with others from the same school and year level. Lessons combine targeted teaching and individual feedback with opportunities to discuss ideas, think independently and learn alongside peers.

Individual lessons are available for intensive short-term support, particular assessments or specific learning needs.

Depending on the student, lessons may include:

• support with schoolwork and upcoming assessments
• essay structure, analytical writing and textual interpretation
• creative, persuasive and discursive writing
• reading comprehension, vocabulary and grammar
• preparation for NAPLAN, school examinations and HSC English
• clear feedback and targeted practice between lessons

Face-to-face lessons are held in my dedicated home classroom in Chester Hill. Online lessons are also available where appropriate.

How to Enrol

Places are limited, and most new students begin on the waitlist. New places are generally offered in October and January, although enquiries are welcome throughout the year.

Please note: Only a small number of places become available each year. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee placement. Compatible pair or small-group enquiries may be prioritised where students attend the same school and year level.

1. Complete the enrolment form
   Tell me about your child, their current English studies and the support they need.
2. Before joining, please review the Lesson Information & Policies, including lesson expectations and important enrolment information.
3. I’ll review their details
   I’ll consider their year level, learning needs, preferred lesson format and availability.
4. I’ll contact you if a suitable place becomes available
   We can then discuss the available time and whether a trial lesson would be appropriate.
